Double Tap Pistol Review (9mm Derringer)

Double Tap Pistol Review (9mm Derringer)

Welcome to Firearms of America! Today, I have a first derringer review for you guys and this is a DoubleTap Defense.

Let’s start with the specs:
Caliber: 9mm
Weight: 15 oz
Barrel: 3.0 inches (Stainless Steel)
Frame: Aluminum
2 Spare rounds in the grip on a speed loader for a tactical reload
Optional Ported barrels reduces muzzle flip and recoil
Small, slim, no-snag hammerless design for easy pocket carry
Ambidextrous thumb latch to eject spent rounds
Double Action Trigger

So, originally Heizer Defense DoubleTap this might be the smallest 9mm pocket pistol… if not the smallest pistol in general. Now this might sound pretty good if you are into the smallest handguns…. but don’t rush with the decision making, because there a few things to consider. First of all, you can only carry two rounds in the chamber… chambers… and two backup rounds in the frame. Second, the recoil on this thing feels insane.

Yes, micro guns are fantastic to carry. They are easy to conceal and don’t take any space. But your mini pocket gun has to also be practical and usable when and if you need it.

Because the recoil is so harsh on this derringer, I strongly recommend you practice with it regularly if you are planning to conceal carry it. But keep in mind, it is no pleasure to practice with it, whatsoever.

So, let me know what you guys think about this DoubleTap review? Would you consider it as your concealed carry derringer? Would you want it in your gun collection? Let me know in the comments below! Thanks for watching!
